Carrot Halwa

Sl.No Ingredients Quantity PreCooking Preperation
1 Fresh Milk 3 cups  
2 Carrots 7 Medium sized Grated
3 Sugar 1 1/2 cups  
4 Ghee 3 tablespoons  
5 Cardamom 3 or 4 Crushed
6 Cashewnuts Few Small pieces
7 Almonds Few Small pieces
Preparation
  1. Fry the grated carrots in ghee.
  2. Add milk (should be enough to cover the carrots), and cook till carrots become very soft.
  3. Add sugar and let simmer for a while, till sugar dissolves, and the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the cardamom powder.
  5. Garnish with almonds and cashewnuts.
  6. Serve hot or cold !
